Nev’s birthday was in April and I wanted to book a table for four at the Test Kitchen, South Africa’s top restaurant at the moment. Of course as one would expect, the waiting list to get a table for 4 was 2 months and the 2 month date of 15th June (the day before Fathers Day as it turned out too!)arrived last night.
So baby sitter sorted and all jazzed up we headed off out in a taxi to this fabulous restaurant down the road in our part of the woods in the Old Biscuit Mill complex.
All I can say is that it was fabulous, art on a plate, delicious food – after a 5 course meal with surprises thrown in by the chef in between courses along the way. Such a great evening and experience and well worth the wait! ……and then…..the BILL arrived and that was something that made us laugh – better than crying hey?
